Obituary of Gordon Ward

WARD, Gordon Hubert Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016, at the Norfolk General Hospital, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Ward (1992) and the late Helen Ward (2015). Loving father of Chuck (Kim) Slavinsky, Darlene (Ted) Waring, the late Gary Ward and the late Mary Jane (Dennis) Ponto. Much loved grandfather of Jennifer, Jason, Jessica and Taylor and great-grandfather of 8. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Gordon was a Naval Veteran of WWII, serving in the North Atlantic conflicts. Special thanks to the staff of Dover Cliffs Long Term Care, and Christine at Veterans Affairs for their years of care and service. A Private Family Burial has already taken place. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Norfolk would be greatly appreciated.
