Abbott, Merren Eileen (nee:Scott) - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Derek for 53 years. Loving mother of Kevin (Gina), Karin (Dave), Julie (Joe). Caring grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Warren, Margo, Bambi and Randy. Merren was a longtime manager of Sunrise Records at Burlington Mall. A Celebration of Life will be held at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment of Merren's ashes will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the ALS Society would be appreciated. Donations, condolences and live funeral web-casting will be available online at www.beckettglaves.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Merren in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
