Obituary of Verna Edwards

Edwards, Sally "Verna" Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, with the love of her life, her husband Bruce by her side, on Thursday, April 7th, 2016, in her 76th year. Beloved wife of Bruce for over 57 years. Loving mother of Sherrie and her husband Matt Milla, and Bruce and his wife Maria Edwards. Devoted "Grama" to Heather (Steve), Daniel (Kim), and David (Merissa), and her first great-grandchild - Autumn. Verna is survived by her sisters Ruby (the late Vernon) Eaton, and Louise (the late Ray) Hayden. She is predeceased by her brothers John, and Norman Anderson, and her sister-in-law Marion and her husband Alex Western. She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Leila, and Wilma, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Verna enjoyed her camping and had travelled from one side of the country to the other. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Saturday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 - 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. Verna's family would like to express their thanks for the overwhelming support provided by Dr. David Vincent, nurse Rose Abrey, and the many other caregivers.
