Obituary of Hilda Telfer

Telfer, Hilda Edith Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, in Hamilton on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016 in her 88th year. Beloved wife and best friend of the late James. Loving mother of Joan (Alex) Faux. Devoted "Nana" to Justin and Peter. She is survived by her sisters Wynn Hall, of London, Betty (the late Cliff) Robinson, of Sarnia, and Norma (the late Roger) Allan, of Grimsby. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Chesterman) Hall, sister Ellen, brother Tom, and sister Doreen. Hilda will be fondly remembered by all of her many family members, friends, and many students. She was "Miss Hall" at BCI and "Mrs Telfer" at P.J. Collegiate in Brantford and Port Colborne High School. She enjoyed her many years teaching geography and loved to watch her grandsons play hockey. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. At Hilda's request, cremation has been arranged through the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, (519) 752-4331. A Private Family Interment is to be held at Farringdon Burial Ground. If wished, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton would be appreciated.
