Obituary of Victoria Mroz

Mroz, Victoria Honoratha (nee Rozak) - Just shy of her 93rd year, peacefully in her own bed, surrounded by her loving family and reuniting with her husband, Jan (1992) and daughter, Genia (2000) on March 5th, 2016, Victoria went home to be with her Lord. She is survived by her son-in-law Frank Wdowczyk, grandchildren John Wdowczyk (Catherine March), Frank (Anna) Wdowczyk and Dianne Wdowczyk-Meade (Michael Meade), and great-grandchildren Benjamin, Daniel and Victoria Wdowczyk and Rebekah Meade. Missing her as well are her nieces and nephews: Rick Rozak (Irene), Dianne Taylor (Doug - 2006), and Chris Rozak; and her great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Stan and Peter (Genia), and her nephews Stan and Bobby. She was employed on her family’s tobacco farm in Waterford and retired from the W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind. Babcia will be remembered for her beautifully maintained home, her hospitality and her generosity, especially in supplying her neighbours of Homedale with the bounty of her garden and pear trees. She was a life-member of the Polish Mutual Benefit and Friendly Society, the Ladies Club and a member of the Polish Seniors’ Club. Special thanks to Dr. E. Cicoria and the staff of Amber Lea retirement home for their excellent care of Babcia. The family will receive friends at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Tuesday, March 8th from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm.; Rosary at 7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 235 Brant Avenue on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at 10 am. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations to St. Joseph’s Memorial Scholarship Fund or St. Joseph’s Elevator Fund would be appreciated.
