I only just heard of your passing today. It is with much sadness and through tears I write.

Had it not been for my father hiring you as my lawyer I most likely wouldn't be here today in my 50's enjoying life on the west coast or have had the opportunity to have a family.

Thank you sir for being the wonderful man that you were, for protecting me when I couldn't protect myself, and always showing up on time fully prepared for battle...heaven is a greater place because they have earn a true warrior, may your spirit live on through all the lives you have touched.

RIP sir, you have earned it.

I am so very sorry to just hear of Doug passing away, he was my Lawyer for years and my friend.Kind, wise and genuine l will always be indebted for his good council and direction. Doug was the first lawyer I ever worked for. He took a chance on a 19 year old inexperienced student. He hired me for my 8 month co-op term during a time when jobs were not easy to come by. He had faith in me and gave me the confidence I needed to be successful. I learned a lot from Doug and am forever grateful to him for taking a chance on me so I could continue my career in the legal profession. He was always kind and thoughtful and will always be remembered for his wonderful storytelling ability. Thanks Doug. May you rest in peace.

Doug was my lawyer back in the early 1980's. He was a wonderful man who loved people, life and always took the time to make you feel important. I remember going to his office and feeling like I was visiting a friend who helped me through tough times. Even over the years when I ran into him, he never forgot my name or my children's. What a wonderful man. Rest in peace Doug, you made such in difference in so many lives.
