Obituary of D. Jean Edwards

Edwards, Doris "Jean" Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence "Spunk" Edwards for over 60 years. Loving mother of John and his wife Marlene, the late Dave (1978), and her daughter-in-law Claire (Bob) Forgie. Devoted "Grandma" of Kevin and his wife Caroline, Jennifer (Dave Speedie), Matt, and Colin (Candice), Patience (John) Force, Rachel Sayles, and Honee-Lynn Carrick. Devoted great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Raymond (Doris) Robbins. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Bill, Maxine, Myrtle, Evelyn, and Armand. Jean will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She worked for many years at the John Noble Home. Jean was born and raised in the Port Burwell area, and lived in Newport, Ontario for many years before moving to Eagle Place in Brantford in 1973. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 from 7 - 9 p.m, and on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Burtch Baptist Church or Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jean in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
