Obituary of John Caswell

John Peter Caswell - Suddenly on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 76th year. Loving husband to Carol for 53 years. Father of Chris (Lisa), Ken (Marie) and Karen (Jody) Dropko. Proud Grandpa to Graeme, Charlotte, Annika, Justin, Brooke, Taylor, Cooper and Megan. Brother to Morrison. Predeceased by parents George and Cora, and siblings George, Barbara, Betty, Don, Edith and Mary Ann. During a 30 year ministerial career, John served many churches, and took pride in serving both large and small congregations. John returned to school to follow his pursuit, graduating from McMaster University Divinity College and becoming ordained in 1994. Prior to his call to the ministry, John was a very successful salesman for several local companies. John was an avid fan of his grandchildren’s activities, played alto sax for more than one orchestra and enjoyed traveling with Carol and their close pals. He will be remembered by his colleagues and friends for his trusted counsel. John always had a joke to tell and he would like us to keep a smile on our faces. He was a true character. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Thursday, December 3rd from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Queensway Baptist Church, 211 George St., Brantford on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
