Obituary of Ena Misener

MISENER, Ena May (nee: Standing) - Passed away after a brief illness at Brantford General Hospital, with her family at her side in her 94th year. Born in Horsham, England, Ena came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride of her late husband Melvin James Misener of Brantford. Beloved mother of the late Paul James (Jim) Misener, Linda Hogue of Brantford and Denise Masterman (Neil) of Grimsby. Predeceased by her siblings Ivan Standing, Donald Standing, Ivy Hall and Iris Drayton all of England. Cherished Nana of Robert Janman of Winnipeg, James Hogue (Sharon) of Strathroy, Chelsea and Hunter Masterman of Grimsby, and to great grandchildren Keanen and Makyna Hogue of Strathroy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a founding member of Fairview United Church and for the last 20 years was a faithful member of St Judes Anglican Church. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Interment of Ena's ashes will take place privately at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the staff of the BGH 6th floor for their care during her brief stay. A tree will be planted in memory of Ena in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
