Ratchford, James "Jim"
Passed away suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, October 26th , 2015 in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Susan for over 29 years. Loving father of Connie (Ken) Chisholm, Krissa (Mike) Biedermann, Glen (Karen Kerr) Halsey, Greg Halsey, and Grant (Anita) Halsey. Devoted grandfather of 12 grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by all of his family members and friends. Jim was a 30 year retired employee of Lear Seating. He was a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society, and loved cooking and gardening. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 29th from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heat and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
