Condolences
Living in Nova Scotia, I really didn't have a chance to get to know Dawn the way I would have liked to. She seemed good for my Dad, very good for him. I say this because my Dad and I have lost touch over many years and distance has played a huge part in this. The longer you go with out talking or seeing someone, the easier it is to kind of forget about them.
Dawn help stop that. She was a great help in bringing my Dad and I back together. She would tell me all the time how much my Dad loves me and misses me and I can't thank her enough for this.
For someone she hardly knew in myself, she traveled to Nova Scotia to see my wedding and opened her home for my family when we came to visit the year later. Trust me, when you are use to not having kids around then having 12 and 10 year old in your home, it can be very trying (lol)but she didn't say a word and always had a smile.
What I knew of Dawn, I will cherish forever and I will not allow time and distance to become a stranger again.
Thank you Dawn for what you have done for me, I love you for that. I will see you again one day.
Jeremy
Dad, I so wish I could have been there for you today. I am so sorry that the weather stopped me from making that drive. Remember although we are a few provinces apart does not mean that I am not here for you. I have always been here for you and love you a great deal. I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that there are many people that love you and Dawn. I will see you in the summer. Love you Jeremy, Kathy and the Kids
Dear Bill and Family. Dawn and I have not seen each other regularly over the past many years but whenever we bumped into each other, it was like we were 17 again and had never missed a beat. She was a warm and caring person with a wonderful sense of family and of humour. We have lost one of those very special people that you meet in your life. My thoughts and prayers are with every one of you. love, joanne

My deepest sympathies are extended to Dawn's family. I remember her as yet one of many "moms" who supported the girls in St.John's/Brantford Girls Drum and Bugle Corps. We girls were blessed by her presence, being there in the absence of our own moms, her bright smile. Her light may have dimmed here on earth, but it will now shine bright in heaven.
Thoughts and prayers going out to Dawns family at this time. Dawn was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by all those that knew her. I will always remember her for her kindness and generosity. I cannot be there in your time of sorrow but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
