Obituary of Robert Catherwood

CATHERWOOD, Robert John "Bob"- Passed away at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in his 82nd year with his beloved wife of 57 years, Elsie by his side. Loving father of Randy and his wife Shelly, Rick and his wife Teresa, Jamie (Jan), the late Debbie (1962). Dear Grandfather of Melissa (Kevin), Rebekah, Katelyn, Darrell, and Jacob. Great-grandfather of Hailey and Ainsley, and predeceased by great-granddaughter Baby Chloe (2007). Also survived by his sister Shirley Avey and brother Don. Bob was a Taxi driver for Bell Cabs for over 40 years (Car #7), delivered medication for Woolco/Walmart for 30 years and was a crossing guard for over 18 years. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A Private Family Funeral will be held in the chapel on Friday with Reverend Stephen Hendry officiating. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bob in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
