Obituary of Veronica MacNeil

MacNeil, Veronica "Jo-Ann" Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010, in her 70th year. Loving mother of Rod, Jim (Joan), Patrick (Linda), Stephen and Shelley (Scott). Devoted "Nana" to Patrick, Liam, Keeleigh, Lauren and Rebecca. She is survived by her brothers Pat (Laurel), Angus (Julie), Jim, Bookie (Cathy) and Bobby (Cathy) Sampson and her sister Muriel (Dick) Gillis. Predeceased by her parents James and Veronica Sampson, her sister Sis Sampson and her beloved friend Mamie Lewis. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jo-Ann had a heart of gold and she lived for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of those fortunate enough to have known her. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, Ontario on Saturday from 9 - 10 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jo-Ann in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
