GABRIEL, Douglas "Leonard" - Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 in his 82nd year due to complications from his heart surgery. Beloved husband and best friend of June. Loving father of Allen, Ken, Rita, John and his wife Nicole, Richard and his wife Julie. Dear step-father of Glenn and Noreen (Keith). Caring brother-in-law of Rose. Predeceased by his brothers Bill, Reg and Dennis. Loving grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leonard served overseas in the Military in Korea and in Germany. At Leonard's request a private family gathering will take place at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Leonard in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
