Obituary of Patricia Fletcher

FLETCHER, Patricia (O'Donoghue) - Left us peacefully on January 8, 2010 at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, at the age of 75. Predeceased by her parents, Jeremiah and Helen O'Donoghue. Patricia leaves a loving family to mourn her passing: her devoted husband Jack of 55 years; her much loved daughters Sharon Inns, Lynda Fletcher-Hanley (Greg predeceased), Jacqueline Shoreman (Roger) and Kristine Fletcher (Richard Schroeder). Nan will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Adam, Scott, Jeffrey (predeceased) Inns; Kyle (Kathleen) Fletcher, Michael (Victoria) Hanley and Jennifer Hanley; Kathryn, Hilary and Michael Shoreman; Alaina, Jackson and Cooper Schroeder. And her precious great-grandchildren, James, Bailee, Caoimhe, Jack and Madelyn. Geraldine (Nick predeceased) O'berding, Lorraine (Bruce) Green, Kathleen Lennox and Daniel O'Donoghue and their families lovingly hold the memory of their dear sister and aunt close. Patricia's family in-law, Alec Williamson (Shirley predeceased), Raymond and Muriel Fletcher (both predeceased) and their children have lost a good and caring friend and aunt. A warm, engaging woman, Patricia shone as a loving wife, mother and matriarch. Her energy, intelligence and zest for living helped her blend her dedication to being a mother and wife with her passion for fitness, music, theatre, gardening and the enjoyment of a spirited debate. Friendships were also integral to Patricia and Jack who enjoyed a close and enduring group of friends over many years. As a graduate of Mohawk College, a dedicated employee of F.S. Sellars/R.A. Farrow for many years leading to retirement and a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Laureate Gamma Beta Chapter, Patricia was an vibrant member of our community. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Visitation to begin at 1:00 pm followed by a dedicated service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's honour to the St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
