Montgomery, Connie (nee Simon) - Passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband Donald (1985), and the late Peter Traher. Loving mother of Craig (Bonnie) Traher, Mick Montgomery (Laura), and Richard Montgomery. Devoted grandmother of Heather Traher, Kyle (Brooke) Demaria, Shandee Montgomery and Deidra Montgomery, and her great-grandson Coen Demaria. She is predeceased by her brother Ben Simon. Connie will also be sadly missed by her many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was a free-spirited, independent woman who loved to dance, cook, do arts and crafts, shop frugally, and take care of her grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Monday from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Brant would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Connie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
