KILBY, Gladys Mary (nee: Walker) - Gladys Mary Kilby of Brantford died peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2009, at home in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Kilby (1988). Dear mother of Wesley (Val) Wilson of Toronto, and Gail (Gary) Smale of Brantford. The loving "Bama" of grandchildren Rebecca (Karl) Thorleifson y Edward Smale both of Calgary, Cathy (Perry) Ste Croix of Hagersville, Wesley y Jay Wilson both of California y Craig Wilson of Barrie. Greatgrandchildren Connor Wilson of Barrie, Christopher (NikkI) Webb y Samantha Webb y Devin Smale all of Calgary, Shawna Lee y Wyatt Ste Croix of Hagersville. Great-great-granddaughter Raine Webb of Calgary. Special Aunt of Eleanor Watt of Waterford, also many nieces y nephews. Gladys was a volunteer y lifetime member of the Beckett Adult Leisure Center y was involved with oil painting, Beckett Serenaders as well as Special Events for the Center. Predeceased by parents y brothers y sisters. Friends y family will be received at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. y 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, Sept 11th at 1 p.m. Interment will take place privately. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, or the Brantford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Gladys in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
