WHEELER, Kenneth Ray "Ken"
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the age of 93. Much loved husband of Ida for 56 years. Predeceased by his son Blair (1974), his parents Morley and Fern, and his sister Retus. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Bud Crowe and nephews David and Mike Crowe, as well as many other family members and friends. Ken served in The Highland Light Infantry during the Second World War. He was a founding member of the Scotland Fire Department (1951) and serving as the Deputy Chief for over thirty years. Friends will be received at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 1 - 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment Scotland Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ken in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
