Obituary of Darren Davis

DAVIS, Darren Alfred - A family is a bond that we cherish forever… it gives us love and laughter, and special memories that we carry in our hearts for eternity… Loving husband, devoted father, beloved son, loyal brother, cherished brother-in-law, treasured uncle and trustworthy friend. It is with deep sadness that Darren's family announces his passing on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 in his 38th year. Darren leaves behind the loves of his life, his wife Tracy-Lynn (nee Sheeler) and children Megan, Jacob, Jillian, Eliza, Benjamin and Charles. His father Earl predeceased Darren. He is also survived by his mother Hazel and his siblings Robert (Darlene), Harold (Janice), Brian, Gerald, Bruce, Murray (Joanne), Kevin (Nancy) and Karen (Luc). Darren was a much loved son-in-law to Dave and Brenda Sheeler and brother in-law to Nancy (Tony), Tami (Joe), Tara (Dave), Tricia (Jerry) and DJ (Martina). He was a very special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Darren's many achievements include graduating from Mohawk College as a Class A auto mechanic and heavy truck mechanic. He later returned to school to become a licensed electrician and recently received his teaching qualifications from the University of Western Ontario. But what truly defined Darren was his unwavering passion, enduring love and immense pride for his family. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Tuesday, May 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, donations in Darren's honour will be received at any Bank of Montreal branch (Account TR#00152-3169392) for a trust fund dedicated to the post secondary education of his children or to the Burtch Baptist Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Darren in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
