Obituary of Marilyn Sterne

STERNE, Marilyn Florence - Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, March 9th, 2009 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of David for over 45 years. Loving mother of Mike (Tam), Kim, Steve (Becky) and devoted "Grama-Grama" of Kassidy. Marilyn is predeceased by her son Dougie (1990), her parents, and one brother. She is survived by 5 brothers and sisters, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Marilyn represents class, dignity, love, family and faith, and will be sadly missed by all. Say "Hi" to Dougie for us Mom. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A special thank you to the nurses in palliative care at the Brantford General Hospital for helping make Mom's journey as comfortable as possible. A tree will be planted in memory of Marilyn in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
