Obituary of R. LaVerne Taylor

TAYLOR, Robert LaVerne "Babe" - Passed away peacefully, on Friday, March 6, 2009 at his residence, 47 Memorial Drive, Brantford, in his 77th year. Dear friend of Kathleen (Kelly) Taylor. Beloved father of Richard (Michaela) of St. Thomas and Joanne of Kitchener. Much loved grandpa of Max and Natasha. Predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Ina Taylor and all six of his siblings. LaVerne retired from Mott Manufacturing after 27 years of service. He had a good sense of humour and was content with the simple things of life. He loved watching "The Leafs" and in earlier years he enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Friday, March 13 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to The Make Wish Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of LaVerne in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
