GUINDON, Rheal Joseph Arthur - It is with great sadness, after a brief illness, Rheal's family announces his passing at his home at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Laura (2008) and the late Madeleine (1961). Loving father of the late Raymond (Susan) February 13, 2009; and Claude (Debbie), Gerald and Marcel. Cherished step-father and second father to Susan Johnson (Miles), Paulette Kennedy (Scott) and Jim Johnson (Paula). Will be missed by his grandchildren Don, Erin, Grant, Christy; step-grandchildren Robin, Sarah, Bryan and Eric. Also, will be missed by great-grandchildren Tanner, Jessika, and Ethan. Survived by sister Laurette and brother Albert, both of St. Isadore, Ontario. Rheal worked for Massey Foundry for 32 years where his nicknames were "Moose" and "The Moulder" because of his proficiency in that job. In his retirement, Rheal spent much of his time with recreation at trailer parks and a few years in a nice cottage at Long Point. Rheal worked for several years as a school crossing guard. Rheal was recognized by the Canadian Red Cross fordonating 75 units of blood. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, February 25th. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Red Cross or charity of choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Rheal in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
