Obituary of Margaret Ritchie

RITCHIE, Margaret K. "Pearl" Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 17th, 2008 in her 88th year. Loving mother of Grant Ritchie. Devoted grandmother of Scott and Trevor. She will also be fondly remembered by Carol Ritchie, Laura Purser, Ali and Aaron, her other family members and many friends. Pearl served in the British Armed Forces during the Second World War, and retired from the Canadian Red Cross Society, in Brantford, where she worked as a visiting homemaker for many years. Special thanks to the staff of the former Terrace Park Lodge for all their carring and kindness shown to Pearl during her many years there and thanks also to Dr. Peter Lavelle. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Monday from 2 - 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Pearl in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
