Obituary of Donald Ainsworth

AINSWORTH, Donald - With sorrow in our hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Ainsworth, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, September 1st, 2008 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Mabel. cherished father of Heather Hickman and her husband Todd. Proud and loving "Papa" to Bryn and Brock. Loving companion of Marie Riley and special friend and "Grandpa Don" to her children and four grandchildren. Donald is survived by his brothers Richard (Dorothy), Kenneth (Betty Lou), and Gary (Joan). Donald was a member and past president of the Brant Rod and Gun Club. A Tool and Die Maker by trade, Donald was also a talented wood worker. He was known to generously share his many treasured creations with family and friends. Sincere thanks to Dr. Jones, Dr. Auchinachie, Dr. Eddy and the nurses on C5 and C7. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 - 10:30 a.m. A Graveside Committal Service will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery on Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Don in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
