Obituary of James Cochran

Cochran, James L. "Jimmy" Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, August 4th, 2008, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Rosemary for over 52 years. Loving father of Jane (John Heinbecker), and Heather (Maureen McKay). Dearly loved "Grampa" of Emma. He is predeceased by his parents Duncan and Jane Cochran and his brother Duncan. Survived by his sisters-in-law Rita Cochran and Wilma Tweedie (Gerry). Also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephew and many friends. Jimmy was an elder of Central Presbyterian Church, and a member of local #67 Plumbers and Pipefitters for over 42 years. He was also a life member of Alexandria & Bonhill St. Andrew's Royal Arch Lodge #321 A.F.& A.M., and a lifetime member of the Ex-Imperial Club. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Mark Gaskin Officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Brant, the Canadian Cancer Society or Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jimmy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
