Obituary of Joan Archer

ARCHER, Joan (nee Ireland) - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Everett Archer (1995). Much loved mother of Richard (Joan) Archer and Rodger (Dawn) Archer. Dear grandmother of Scott (Betty), Jennifer (Jim), Shannon (Felix), Michael, John (Denise), Susan (Gary) and Diane (Stuart). Cherished great-grandmother of Emily, Duncan, Maxwell, Douglas, Matthew, Jordan, Patrick, Andrew, Katie, Owen, Eric and August. Sadly missed by her last surviving sibling Barbara (Eric) Schick of Winnipeg and her close friend Walter Musson. Long time member of Langford Community Church, the Brantford Sundowners and the South Brant Legion in Oakland. Sincere thanks to the ER and Palliative Care Units at the Brantford General Hospital. They made mom's transition comfortable and peaceful. At Joan's request cremation has already taken place. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Saturday, November 15th, 2014, from 1-2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Donations to Langford Community Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Joan in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
