Condolences
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Jan's family, friends and colleagues. I had the pleasure of working with Jan on Speech-Language Pathology committees and benefiting from her expertise when I was at Chedoke-McMaster Hospital in Hamilton. Jan's passion, engaging nature and depth of understanding was evident in all that she did. She had a tremendous impact on the lives of so many people. May pleasant memories bring comfort now and in the days ahead. My thoughts are with all of you. Debbie
I had the privilege of knowing Jan through her work at St. Joseph's Hospital, Brantford, and ARTC.She was an strong woman, with a zest for life. She had the most amazing Christmas Trees, so huge I have no idea how she got them into her house every year! Once the tree was up and decorated, Jan invited all her friends to her annual Christmas party, usually on a Friday before Christmas so most of her colleagues and friends could attend. I always looked forward to Jan's annual event, she cooked the turkey, dressing etc.,! Jan's Christmas parties seemed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit, I know it did for us! Jan's passion for life included all aspects of living. She will be truly remembered by all who knew her. Our deepest condolences to her dad, and her family in Alberta. Jakki & Julius
Jan was a loved member of Wellwood Gyn. Support Group in Hamilton. As cancer survivors we all admired her courage and tenacity. She was an inspiration and we will miss her.
Jan was an amazing woman who had a lasting and positive effect on so many peoples' lives. I knew of her even before I came to Brantford General, through the great work she had done for people with aphasia. Jan was a gift to work with - smart, caring and dedicated. She will be sorely missed by many, she blessed everyone she interacted with! My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends - she is now in a place of no pain, only peace.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Jan at the BCHS. Her passion for life was evident and flowed over to everyone she encountered. She always had a smile on her face at work, in the community, or on her bike on the trails. She will be missed.
