Obituary of Gladys Miller

MILLER, Gladys - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Royal Victoria Healthcare Centre, Barrie, Ontario on Wednesday, Jan. 15th, 2014 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Arden Miller (1982). Loving mother of Leonard (Wendy) of Woodstock, and Harold (Marilynn) of Racine, Wisconsin. Devoted grandmother of Marty (Crystal), and Lisa (Richard), and Michael, and Melissa (Max), and her 5 great-grandchildren Ben, Zak, Chloe, Eric, and Abby. She is predeceased by her sister Betty Stillwell, and her brother Albert Ruston. She will also be fondly remembered by many other nieces, nephews and friends. Gladys was a past president of the Overseas Wives Club, Brantford, a long time volunteer at the Lansdowne Childrens' Centre, and a long time member of St. James Anglican Church in Brantford. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Leprosy Mission Canada (www.leprosy.ca) 90 Allstate Parkway, Suite 200, Markham, Ontario L3R 6H3 would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Gladys in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
