Obituary of Laura Pipe

PIPE, Laura (nee Gibbons) - Peacefully, at the John Noble Home, on Friday, March 7th, 2008. Beloved wife of the late George Pipe (2005), and the late Robert Gordon Poag (1964). Loving mother of Judy (Poag) Johnson and her husband Wayne, the late Janet (Bill) Stevens, and her step-sons Richard Pipe and his wife Maredith, and Roger Pipe and his wife Christine. She is predeceased by her parents Carrie and Ted Gibbons, her sisters Doris Oros, and Barbara Howard, and her brother Cecil Gibbons. Laura is the cherished grandmother of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will also be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Eddy and his wife Sandy, the nursing staff at the Brantford General Hospital, and the staff at both, the John Noble Home and Tranquility Place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre (519) 752-4331. A Private Family Funeral Service was held. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. Donations to the S.P.C.A. would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Laura in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
