STRATFORD, Leona Margaret (nee Egerland) - It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Leona Stratford, on Sunday, November 17th, 2013, at the Brantford General Hospital, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of the late Laurence Stratford (2009). Much loved mother of Cheryl Price. Dear grandmother of Eric (Kimberly), Andrea (Chad) and Jessie-Lynne and great-grandmother of Brantley. Loving sister of Doreen Winter, Nora (Vincent) Hanscom and Dorothy (Ted) Sobczyk. Dear friend of Deb Hutchison. Leona was the Brant County Team Leader for Therapeutic Paws of Canada, and was an avid supporter of her grand children's horse shows and demolition derby's. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Cenre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Thursday, November 21, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Donations to the Therapeutic Paws of Canada or the Big Creek Saddle Club would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Leona in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest
