COURTNAGE, Lillian A. "Freda" (nee VanDeWalle) - Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Friday, February 8, 2008 in her 68th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Maker (1990). Loving mother of Lori (Ronnie), Doug (Kelley) the late Arthur and Greg and her step-daughter Sandra Maker. Devoted grandmother of Wyatt, Jasmine, Kyle, Dylan, Tyler, Kristen, Nicole, Katie and Kristofer and her great-granddaughter Scarlett. She is survived by her brother Alfie and sisters Mary (David) Collins and Madeline (Jim)) Noonan. Freda will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Wilhelmina and Alfred VanDeWalle and by brothers Jerry, Andy and Robert VanDeWalle. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Paris Cemetery on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Donations may be made in Freda's memory to the Juravinski Cancer Clinic or to the Canadian Cancer Society. A tree will be planted in memory of Freda in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
