Marshall, Douglas - Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side, at the Stedman Community Hospice, on Tuesday January 29th, 2008 in his 59th year. Beloved husband of June for 40 years. Loving father of Bill (Angie), Rebecca (Jim) Karmiris, Carrie Anne Marshall (Mike) and Adam (Sherri). Devoted "Grandpa" of Ryan Marshall, Kellen Szentirmai - Marshall and Erica, Julia and Marshall Karmiris. He is survived by his brother Sydney (Diana), of Paris, Ontario, and his sister Dianne (David) Schmidt of Brantford. Beloved son-in-law of Dorothy and the late Charlie Slaunwhite, of Brantford, and sadly missed by his sister-in-law Connie (Andy) McGinley, of Barrie, and Susan (Bruce) MacDonald, of Brantford. Also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dorothy Marshall and his granddaughter Sequoia. Doug was well known for owning and operating E.D. Marshall & Sons Roofing, in Brantford, and he was a long time member of the Long Point Lions Club. One of his deepest passions was boating and running a charter boat service out of Port Rowan, Ontario. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Doug in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
